Waste Removal & Recycling

The Town of Middleton has full service trash pickup. Household trash is always collected on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please have trash out by 7:00 AM. These are typically in May and October.

Bulk Items

  • Bulk stickers are required for all bulk items. Each property owner shall receive two bulk stickers included in their November/December tax bill. Renters need to see their landlord regarding bulk stickers. Stickers can also be purchased at the Town Clerks office during normal business hours for $5.00 each.
  • Just for 2021, residents can obtain their 2 free bulk stickers at the Town Clerks office during normal business hours.
  • Stickers do not expire and can be used at any bulk collection day.
  • Bulk items are items that cannot fit in a 35 gallon trash container.
  • Bulk pick-up items INCLUDE such items as a couch, mattress, recliner, kids pool, tall lamps, totes, etc.
  • Bulk pick-up items EXCLUDE such items as ELECTRONICS, TIRES, METAL, HAZARDOUS MATERIAL, OR ANY CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS.

Annual Recycling Day

  • There is also an annual recycling day during the summer typically in August. This day you can dispose of electronics and tires for a fee (item list with prices is posted in early August) and metal can be disposed of for free.
  • Early in May, Middleton residents can participate in a hazardous collection day at Turn Key in Rochester where you can dispose of any hazardous items.
  • Please check the Calendar for specific dates.

Holidays

  • Pinard Waste Systems strives to minimize the inconvenience to our customers caused by collection delays. Therefore, you can expect us to be operating on schedule on most holidays. The following holidays are the only exceptions:
    • New Year’s Day
    • 4th of July
    • Thanksgiving
    • Memorial Day
    • Labor Day
    • Christmas Day

Observed holidays impact collection in the following manner:
Within the holiday week, collection will occur on schedule on the days preceding the holiday. Collections scheduled for the holiday, as well as the remainder of the week will be delayed one day. For example, Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday. Customers with scheduled collections Monday through Wednesday of that week will not be affected. Thursday’s collections will occur on Friday, and Friday’s collections will occur on Saturday.
