NHDES Beach Advisory

August 14, 2025

Bloom conditions were first observed on 8/8 and sightings have continued throughout the week. NHDES staff observed bloom conditions and collected samples from Sunrise Lake on 8/12 that had cyanobacteria present at a density that exceeded the recreational threshold.

Please report through the Bloom Report Form if you continue to see bloom conditions.

Note that this does not mean the entire lake has a cyanobacterial bloom, only reported bloom sites.  Lake users should remain vigilant and report any blooms to the NHDES.

Please visit the Healthy Swimming Mapper for the most current information about bloom location, status, and severity
